I am excited to welcome you to my atelier, the place where all my jewellery is handmade by me. You will get a glimpse into the craft of a professional jeweller and design your own piece with me from start to finish.
In this 3-hour one-on-one workshop, I will personally guide you through the timeless technique of wax carving, from sketching your idea to shaping and refining it in wax, while also introducing you to the ancient lost wax casting technique still used in today’s jewellery industry.
This private one-on-one workshop is priced at £250 and includes:
✦ Personal guidance throughout the entire 3-hour session
✦ Use of professional wax carving tools during the workshop
✦ Wax and materials for creating your piece
✦ A sketchbook prepared especially for you, to use for sketching your design ideas and making notes throughout the workshop
✦ Small refreshments and tea
Casting of your piece is available at an additional cost. Your piece can be cast in sterling silver or, if you prefer, in gold or gold-plated. Casting costs start from approximately £60 for sterling silver and from £90 for gold-plated pieces. Solid gold options are priced individually, depending on the design and current market prices. All costs will be confirmed with you before proceeding. Your finished jewellery will be ready to collect from my atelier or sent to you within 3 to 4 weeks.
